John Bucher, 82, Civil War veteran, 1232 Vine st. Cote Brilliante, Newport, died Saturday at his home following a lingering illness. Bucher was a Corporal with the Sixth Division of Ohio and experience three years in the service. Born in Wayne Co. O. he came to Newport 50 years ago. He was a retired stair builder.
Bucher is survived by his widow, Mollie and three sons, Charles, Newport, Clifford, New York and Chester, Philadelphia. Funeral services have not been completed.

John Bucher, 82, Civil War veteran, 1232 Vine st. Newport, who died Saturday, will be buried Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery. Members of the William Nelson Relief Corps No 2 will assemble Tuesday 1 pm at the Charles A Smith funeral parlor and proceed to the home for service.
Bucher served with the Sixth Ohio Regiment. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mollie Bucher and three sons, Charles, Clifford and Chester.
