The air over the Mediterranean was turned into a living hell for the Axis over the weekend and two northern Kentuckians were there to represent the Blue Grass state. The Kentucky flyers who took part in the sky melee are Lieut. George L Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ross, Ft Thomas and John A Williams, of Eden avenue, Bellevue, husband of Mrs. Juanita Trunnell Williams, who is now living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Trunnel, 176 Eden avenue, Bellevue.
Sergeant Williams and Mrs. Williams were celebrating Monday the second anniversary of their marriage. He has been on overseas since last October. Before entering the service, he was employed at the Ault and Wiborg Co Cincinnati.

PRISONER FREED-S Sgt. John A Williams, 25, husband of Mrs. Juanita Williams of 134 Lafayette avenue, Bellevue, and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Rice of 502 Walnut street, Dayton, has been freed from a German prison camp, his family learned.
A gunner on a B-17, Sgt. Williams was captured Jan 8, 1945 following a raid over Germany.
