Newport Ky. March 1-John Arbfeller, 60 was found sitting in a chair in his home with two bullet holes in the back of his head. A pistol lay on the floor by his side, and at first it was supposed he had suicide, despite the location of the wounds. Later it was discovered the dead man's pocketbook was missing and then it dawned upon the officers that he was probably murdered.
John Ratigan and Mrs. Carrie Hans, his mistress, have been arrested on suspicion of murdering the old man.
