NEWPORT
KATE SULLIVAN was arrested early yesterday morning on the charge of vagrancy. When she was put in jail, Officer Jim Daly, the "blonde beauty" of the force, was detailed to search her. He commence and after pulling off several of her dresses, his modesty forbid him to go any further and he dropped his job.
Several small sacks of money were found on her person. The Mayor ordered her to take passage for that great State of Ohio and furnished her with a ferry ticket. She refuse4d to accept passage on the ferry boat and was left to loiter in jail.
