DEATH
Mr. J F Lampe Sr. one of Newport's most highly respected
citizens, died yesterday afternoon at the residence of his son, Fred Lampe,
corner of Tenth and Madison avenue, Covington at the age of 68 years. The
deceased was a resident of Newport for 20 years all of which time he served as
the agent of the Enquirer.
He was a member of the Men's Society of the St Stephen Church. He had been ailing for two years, but was not compelled to take to bed until a few weeks ago. Brights disease was the cause of death. The deceased leaves two sons, Fred and William Lampe, three daughters, Mrs. Elis. Moorman, Mrs. Amelia Robben and Mrs. Frances Michalowski, all of Cincinnati.
The funeral will take place Thursday morning at 8 am from the Covington Cathedral.
