NEWPORT
Jane Wiegand, wife of Christopher Wiegand, died yesterday at the
yesterday at the family residence, 422 West Eleventh street, aged 52 years. A
son of the deceased, Matt Wiegand, was killed by a wall while at work pulling
down the ruins left by the San Francisco earthquake and grief over the death of
a favorite son is thought to have hastened her death.
Beside her husband Mrs. Wiegand leaves three sons and two daughter. The funeral services will be held at the Church Immaculate Conception Wednesday at 9 am.
