Lieutenant Colonel Webb Hays, son of ex-President Hayes, who has been commissioned Lieutenant Colonel will arrive Sunday at Fort Thomas.

Hayes was the second son of Rutherford B Hayes and Lucy Webb. He attended Cornell University and worked as his father's secretary when his father was governor of Ohio. He served in the Spanish American War, and WWI with the 31st Infantry U S Volunteers. He died 26 July 1936 in Marion Oh and was buried in the Spiegel Grove Cemetery, in Fremont Oh.
