DIED SUDDENLY


James Tucker, for 47 years a resident of Newport, expired suddenly at the dinner table at his home, 712 Robert street, yesterday. The deceased was 79 years of age and was born at Jamestown Va. Mr. Tucker embarked in the stone business when he came to Newport and followed it until a few years ago.

He leaves a widow and six children, Charles Edward and Earl Tucker, Mrs. Thomas James, Mrs. E E Kirker and Mrs. Owens of Littleton W Va. The funeral services will be held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Kirker, 835 Monroe street, Friday afternoon and Noah's Dove Lodge of Odd Fellows, of which the deceased had been a member for over 35 years, will hold a special meeting this evening to make arrangements for the funeral.
