James W Price

Kentucky Post, Tuesday, 5 April 1910, page 9

James W Price, former letter carrier attached to the Newport office, pleaded guilty to opening letters in the Post office at Newport in the U S Court at Covington Tuesday morning and was sentenced to one year in the penitentiary at Atlanta Ga. The scene in the courtroom when Price was sentenced was one of the most effecting in that courtroom in years. The defendant was surrounded by his aged mother, his wife and their little boy.

The little fellow, though too young to realize what was happening to his daddy, joined his mother and grandmother in their tears and the corridors of the big temple of justice resounded with the little boys wails.
