DEATH
James Smith, 28, residing near the corner of Second and Columbia
streets, Newport died yesterday after a lingering illness. Consumption which
also caused the death of his wife and child, carried him off.

The funeral of James Smith, of Second and Columbia streets, took place yesterday afternoon, with services at the family residence. Rev Dr. Bohn officiating. The remains were interred at Evergreen Cemetery.
