James and Hannah Maria Skelton
James Skelton was born in England in 1827, the son of Samuel.
He married Hannah Maria Howard born in 1828 in England, the daughter of John
Howard and Mary Byrn. He immigrated to America with his father. He
moved back and forth between Covington and Newport for many years, working at
the Rolling Mills Foundry in Newport. His father Samuel was born 1800 in
England, the son of James and died 29 Aug 1864 in Newport and was buried in the
Newport Cemetery (now Evergreen) in Southgate.
James Skelton died 13 July 1899 in Millsdale (now Latonia) in Kenton Co and was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery. Hannah Skelton died 19 Feb 1916 in Memphis Tennessee at the home of her daughter Mary and was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery.
