DEATH

Kneeling at the side of his bed as if in the attitude of prayer, James T Kearney, 60, was found dead this morning at his home, 1008 Central av. Newport. His wife made the discovery when she went to her husband's room.

He had been ill for several weeks, but his condition was not thought to be serious. His attending physician saw him last and pronounced him as getting along nicely and during the night, one of his sons waited on him in his room and he seemed to be in no danger. His death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

Kearney was a life long resident of Newport, but had been engaged in business at Ninth and Linn sts. Cincinnati, as a contracting roofer for the past 25 years. Besides his widow, he leaves six grown children. Decedent is a brother in law of Maurice Richmond of Covington.
