ARRIVAL OF THE BODY OF A DECEASED SOLDIER-The remains of Sergeant James Hayes, of Company K 71st Ohio Regiment, who was wounded in the battle of Pittsburg Landing, reached here yesterday per mail boat Major Anderson. Deceased was wounded in the arm and died at Louisville a few days ago from the effects of an amputation of the limb.
The funeral of the brave soldier will take place this afternoon at two o'clock, from the residence of Mr. John Reily on John street, near Williamson.

MILITARY BURIAL-The remains of James Hayes, who died from wounds
received at the battle of Pittsburg Landing, were followed to the grave
yesterday afternoon by a large number of citizens. The procession was
proceeded by the Garrison Band. The body was deposited in the Newport Cemetery.
The remains of Albert Werner were taken to Cincinnati where they will be interred in Spring Grove Cemetery.
