KNOCKED DOWN-Capt. James Ford, an old river pilot of Newport, was knocked down and robbed Tuesday morning. He had been out attending to some business and was on his way home. At Southgate and Saratoga Streets, two men knocked him down and stole $51 from him.
He did not report the robbery until after noon.
