James and Jane Culbertson
From the family files of Stephen & Carol Culbertson at the Campbell County Historical & Genealogical Society in Alexandria
James Culbertson was born about 1755 in Newton-Stewart, Tyrone, Ireland and married Jane --- about 1780. They left Ireland in 1812 and James died in the crossing. Jane and her children settled in Campbell County at Culbertson Station near the Licking River. Jane died of cholera 22 July 1833 and was buried in the family cemetery at her home in Culbertson Station. She was later moved to Independence Cemetery in Kenton County by her son William.
