Funeral services for James Coleman, 85, Civil War veteran, 759 Second av. Dayton, who died Monday at his home following a lingering illness, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Members of James A Garfield Post GAR of Covington, to which Coleman belonged, will assemble at 1 pm Wednesday at the home to hold their services.

Mrs. Martha Coleman died yesterday at her home, 309 West Sixth street, Newport, following an illness of more than a year. She was 84. Mrs. Coleman is the widow of James Coleman, a Civil War veteran who died about six years ago. She had been a resident of Newport for 35 years.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Rhodes and Mrs. Walter Purves, both of Newport and Mrs. Anna Lambert, Lexington Ky; six sons, Grant, Newport; Walter, Louisville; Charles, Erlanger; Roy, Lexington; Wood, Cincinnati and Joseph, Covington, one brother Robert Harlow, Cincinnati; 40 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Purves, 614 Columbis street, Newport, Monday at 2:30 pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
