Jacob Stemler, 80, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Robert Guenther, Thirteenth and Central av. Newport, Wednesday morning. He was a veteran of the Civil War having served as a private in an Indiana regiment. Two brothers survive.
Funeral from the residence of Mrs. Guenther, Friday at 2 pm. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
