Coroner Schoolfield, of Campbell County Ky. summoned a jury this morning and commenced an inquest on the body of Jacob Lickert, who died yesterday at 2 pm. The following witnesses were examined: Eva Lickert, wife of the deceased; John Lang, Adam Bonihijo, George Krauss and Fred Bishmark.

Mrs. Lickert stated that her husband left home on the evening of January 21st, but did not know where he was going. About two hours later her little daughter came running home and said her father was shot and that Geyer told her that he shot him. The met at Muninghoff's saloon and quarreled about children. Lickert called him (Geyer) a liar; Geyer wanted him to take it back and Lickert refused. Met again on Ann and Tibbatts streets where Geyer shot him. He lived forty-two hours and forty minutes.

Mr. Munninghoff testified as to the quarrel between the parties in his saloon and of hearing the shot about twenty minutes later. Mr. Bonihijo testified as to the excited manner of Geyer when he came home Wednesday night last and told him about the shooting and his promising to go immediately and give himself up. The balance of the testimony was in substance the same as that already published.

Dr. Bennett Thornton Jr. and Schoolfield Jr. held a post mortem, with the following result: The ball entered about three inches below the collar bone and a little left of the median line; then downward and inward penetrating the lung which latter was the cause of his death. The jury rendered a verdict that deceased came to his death from a pistol ball fired from a revolver in the hands of Jacob Geyer.
