His family has been notified that Pvt. Jack K Goodwin was wounded
seriously in action in Germany Dec 1. The husband of Mrs. Irma Goodwin, 349 E
Second street, Newport, and son of Lawrence Goodwin, Center street, Bellevue,
Pvt. Goodwin has been in the service five years and was in the South Pacific
theater. He was with the Lighting Division of Anti-Aircraft at the time he was
wounded in the South Pacific. At that time he received the Purple Heart.
He was returned to the states for one year to recuperate and then sent overseas 10 weeks ago for service in the European theater.
