Isaac Cox, 75, veteran of the Civil War, died Sunday while sitting in a chair at his home, 111 York st. Newport. Cardiac asthmas was given by Dr. Wamsley, who had attended Cox for some time as the cause of death.

In the absence of Coroner Digby, who is ill, Squire Gleason was called in, but his services were not needed, as Dr. Wamsley signed the certificate of death.
