Ira Neville, the oldest resident of Dayton, will on Saturday celebrate the ninety-second anniversary of his birthday at his home, on Fourth Avenue. He was born in Western Pennsylvania in 1811 and has resided in this vicinity for nearly 60 years.

Ira Neville, probably the oldest man in Campbell County, is lying at death's door at his home, on Fourth av. He is 94 years of age and has been feeble for some months. He was taken home in the fire wagon some weeks ago after having fallen at the corner of Walnut and Sixth sts. Dayton.

Ira Neville, one of the oldest citizens in Campbell County and the oldest resident of Dayton, died early today at his home, 526 Fourth av. of a complication of diseases, surperinduced by old age. He was born in 1811 and was in his ninety-fourth year.

Up to a short time ago he was in possession of his faculities and could get about the city. He leaves a widow, son, James of Dayton and a daughter, Mrs. Wealthy Hall, of Cincinnati and has been a resident of Dayton for 50 years. He was a steamboat mate, ship carpenter and was the first night policeman Bellevue had.

The funeral of Ira Neville took place at 1 pm today from the residence, 424 Fourth av. Dayton. Rev A Wray officiating. The pallbearers were George Smith, William Hall, August Sigman and Robert Heller, all grandsons of the deceased.
