Dr. C W Shaw, county health officer, in an address Wednesday before the Campbell co Milk Fund Association, Newport, stressed the value of pure mil for infants. Mrs. Ida W Caldwell, Newport also addressed the meeting and urged the establishment of milk stations throughout the county where the needy might obtain milk.

Announcement was made Thursday a clinic for small children will be conducted from 1 to 3 pm every Monday in the health office of the Newport Courthouse. The clinic is to be sponsored by the Campbell co Babies Milk Fund Association.

Dr. Ida Caldwell and Miss Josephine Meyers and Miss Olive Soden, Newport public health and welfare nurses, will be in charge. They will be assisted by Mrs. Margaret Berry and Mrs. J A Prues.

Dr. Ida Caldwell and Miss Josephine Meyers, assisted by Mrs. A J Trues, of the Baby Milk Fund Association of Campbell co. examined 23 babies this week at the Baby Health Clinic in the Newport Courthouse. Two of the babies were found to be ill. Their conditions were referred to a doctor.

Underfed babies, the innocent victims of the present business depression, are being cared for at a clinic sponsored by the Campbell co Baby Milk Fund Association. The babies are brought to the Newport Courthouse by their parents and are given thorough physical examinations by Dr. Ida Caldwell, wife of Dr. Hadley, Eighth and Monmouth streets, and Miss Josephine Meyers and Miss Olive Soden, community nurses for the Newport Health and Welfare League.

The mothers are advised by Dr. Caldwell as to the proper care and treatment. Milk and other nourishment are given to the parents by the association.

The purchase of an x-ray machine for use in the tuberculosis clinic was announced by August Eilerman. The machine was purchased with funds raised in the last Christmas seal sale. Dr. Ida Caldwell, league secretary, said letters have been mailed to Campbell county physicians inviting them to send any patient who lives in the county and cannot afford to pay for an x-ray examination.

Dr. Ida May Caldwell, 74, of 640 Park avenue, Newport, has followed her physician husband in death by 10 days. She died Friday at Booth Hospital, Covington. Her husband Dr. John Hadley Caldwell, 78, died at the same hospital Oct 22. She had been a patient at the hospital for several months. She also was a physican and a graduate of Oberlin College, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Medical Society and the Newport Woman's Club, and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Newport.

She leaves two sisters, Miss Florence L Westlake of Mt Vernon O. and Miss Lucy J Westlake of Oberlin O. Services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Newport where friends may call from 10 am Monday until time of services.
