Hughey Courtney, 55, Florence, veteran of World War I, died Friday at Veterans Hospital, Ft Thomas, after a long illness. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He was a native of Pendleton county.
Mr. Courtney leaves his widow, Edna Traylor Courtney; a son, Harry Wayne Courtney and a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Ryle, all of Florence; three brothers, J C Courtney, Centerville O. Harry and William Courtney, both of Falmouth; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wedding, Falmouth and a grandson. Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Stith funeral home, Florence.
