Retired Newport Contractor Dies After Lingering Illness
Funeral Services for Hubert Jansen, 77, retired contracting stone mason, 519 Columbia st. Newport, were held Friday at the Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll funeral home, 835 York st. Newport, with requiem high mass at 9 a. m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St Stephen's Cemetery.
Jansen died Tuesday at his home after a lingering illness. He had been a resident of Newport nearly 50 years. He leaves a son, Hubert Jansen Jr. Louisville, and three daughters, Mrs. Stanley Collins, Newport; Mrs. Edward Vieth, Covington, and Mrs. Edward Bleichner, with whom he lived.
