Staff Sergeant Howard M Mauser, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. M G
Mauser, 223 Sixth Avenue, Dayton, was killed in action in France Aug 5 in the
fighting in France, his parents were informed. Sgt. Mauser, wounded previously
in France, was the wearer of the Purple Heart. He was a former football star at
Dayton High School.
In the Army two years, he has been overseas since April 1944. A brother, Herman Mauser, is now serving with the Navy.
