Mrs. George W Trunnell, Bellevue, has received word of the death of her brother, Sgt. Howard Hare, who has been stationed in the Philippines for more than 10 years. Hare died on Sept 17 and his body is on its way to the States.

Gus Hare, who for 18 years has seen service in the U.S. Army, doing duty in Cuba and the Philippine Islands, is home for a months stay. He will re-enlist with the Second Infantry at Ft Thomas. His brother, Howard Hare, fell a victim tothe cholera while in the Philippine Islands. He brother Gus nursed him until his death, then left for the United States and was soon mustered out of service.
He is visiting friends here until he is assigned to duty at Ft Thomas.
