DEMISE OF HOWARD BALL
Judge Helm received a telegram yesterday afternoon, bearing the
sad news of the death of Howard Ball, at his home, at Ball's Station, near
California, this county. Mr. Ball was a well known and energetic member of
the Campbell County bar and was a prime favorite with all who knew him.
He married a Miss Lawson about a year ago, and shortly thereafter contracted consumption. Judge Helm adjourned court until Thursday and called a meeting of the bar for Friday to take action on his death. A child of Mr. Ball died Monday and the young widow has the sympathy of all in her double bereavement.
