Hornbeck Family Graveyard
Grants Lick
Fairlane & Hornbeck Road east of Hissen Avenue
Since 1945, this farm has been occupied by the Hornbeck family. Its present owner Mr. John Hornbeck, said that for 83 years there were many burials here but no markers and no records available. (this information came from the notes of Rus Stevens from the 1960s)

On May 30, 2014, we received this information from James D Hornback
"This Hornbeck Cemetery property is owned by Margaret and Jim Buechel. Margaret's mother was a Hornbeck, my grandfather Herman Hornback's sister. I was told at one time that Silas Hornback and Jim, and my great great grandmother Susannah, were buried there, and possibly the mother of Denver Hornbeck. Originally our last name was Hornbeck. At one time I was told that Denver was a cousin to use.
Margaret Buechel is possibly the oldest person in our family. Her daughter lives next to the cemetery and my uncle Charlie lives across from her."
The cemetery is on Fairlane Road which was at one time called Hornbeck Rd. Located just off the road, it contains 5 or 6 fieldstones set on end. A local resident said they have no idea who is buried here. They paint the stones frequently and keep the area nicely mowed.
