NEWPORT NEWS

SUDDEN SUMMONS-Henry Niekamp, a teamster in the employ of the Newport Rolling Mill Company, died yesterday at his home, 812 Isabella street. Niekamp worked Tuesday and retired at night apparently in perfect health. During the night his wife heard him breathing laboriously, but thought nothing of it as he was subject to smothering spells. A 2 am Mrs. Niekamp awoke and found that her husband was dead.

Coroner Tingley was summoned and held an inquest, rendering a verdict of death from heart failure.  The remains were removed to the residence of Joseph Niekamp, 519 Powell street, from where the funeral will take place.
