SUDDEN SUMMONS-Henry Niekamp, a teamster in the employ of the
Newport Rolling Mill Company, died yesterday at his home, 812 Isabella street.
Niekamp worked Tuesday and retired at night apparently in perfect health. During
the night his wife heard him breathing laboriously, but thought nothing of it as
he was subject to smothering spells. A 2 am Mrs. Niekamp awoke and found that
her husband was dead.
Coroner Tingley was summoned and held an inquest, rendering a verdict of death from heart failure. The remains were removed to the residence of Joseph Niekamp, 519 Powell street, from where the funeral will take place.
