FT THOMAS

Henry Bomheur, the pharmacist at the Post Hospital, who deserted from Ft Thomas last August and about whose sudden disappearance a great deal of apprehension and speculation were rife at the time, has been heard from.

It was feared that he had been foully dealt with but the mystery surrounding his departure has been cleared up, and in a letter to Steward Conners, of the hospital, he asks for pardon and reinstatement. He is now in Berlin, Germany, where his parents are.

He request the steward to make arrangements for his trial by Court-martial, and hopes that he may be granted clemency and returned to duty at the hospital. The steward, in a polite letter, replied that they were getting along very well without him and advised him to remain where he is. Bomheur had only served four months at the time of desertion.
