Henry Ahlering, the venerable father of Colonel George Ahlering,
celebrated his eightieth birthday anniversary, surrounded by his children,
grandchildren and a number of friends, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lizzie
Cook, 730 Washington avenue, yesterday.
Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Speckman, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ahlering, Mr. and Mrs. George Ahlering, Mr.and Mrs. Louis Cook, Misses Anna, Minnie, Clara and May Cook, George and Lewis Cook, Misses Daisy, Nettie and Lucy Ahlering, Edna Speckman, Mr. and Mrs. Albershart, Mr. and Mrs. Weber, Mr. and Mrs. George Winkler, Mr. Speckman, wife and mother, the Missies Elsie Cook, Bettie Nash, Mary and Georgiana Ahlering.
