Henrietta Hunt Morgan Chapter of the United Daughters of the
Confederacy will hold memorial services at both Evergreen Cemetery and Linden
Grove Cemetery, Covington. The services at Covington will be held at 10 am
Tuesday, June 5 and at Evergreen at 3 pm.
Rev E E Southgate, Chaplain of General James M Arnold's staff of the Confederate Veterans, will conduct the exercises at Evergreen Cemetery. An appropriate memorial program will be rendered. The following committees have been appointed to decorate the graves: Mesdames James M Arnold and Peter Thornton of Newport and Miss Maggie Bigstaff of the Highlands, and Mesdames James Ellis and Shelley Rouse and Miss Elizabeth Mackoy of Covington.

The Henrietta Hunt Morgan Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, holds its last meeting this season Thursday, May 23, at the home of Mrs. Owens, at Ft Thomas. A large attendance of all friends is desired, as the final arrangements will be made for decorating Confederate graves in Evergreen Cemetery, Newport, June 3.

The members of the Henrietta Hunt Morgan Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, have made arrangements for the all day entertainment to be given at the home of Mrs. Col. George Washington, of 533 East Fourth street, Newport, April 28. The committee in charge consists of Nazzie Bigstaff, Reba Lockhart, Helen Underwood, Sophia Arnold, Nettie Barnes, Bettie McCoy and Ethel McCloud. The proceeds are for the Confederate Home in Pewee Valley Ky.

The program for the Henrietta Hunt Morgan Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy Newport, has just been sent out to the members. The study subjects for the year will be Events in the Life of General Robert E Lee, The Custic Family of Albert Sidney Johnson, of General George Pickett, of General John Morgan, of General Stonewall Jackson, of President Woodrow Wilson, President Jefferson Davis of the Confederacy, and of General W B Forrest.
The officers for the ensuing year who will direct the club work are Mrs. James C Layne, President; Miss Alberta Caldwell, First Vice President; Mrs. Owen J Carpenter, Second Vice President; Mrs. Benjamin Ashbrook, Third Vice President; Mrs. Walton C Hill, Recording Secretary; Miss Luella Hobbs Corresponding Secretary; Mrs. Peter Thornton.
