STRICKEN
Death came suddenly and painlessly to Dr. H C Gunkel, one of the
best known physicians in the city, yesterday. He was stricken with paralysis at
his home, 1410 Clay street, yesterday morning and although at once removed to
the private ward of the City Hospital, where he received the best of attention,
he only lingered six hours.
Dr. Gunkel was an interne of the institution about 10 years ago. He leaves a widow but no children.
