Harry G Dunn, newly elected superintendent of the Campbell county schools, is typical of what Burgin gives the world. After graduating from Burgin High School, Mr. Dunn attended Cumberland College at Williamsburg Ky. He already had become interested in sports, was a baseball player from his boyhood days.

The brilliant career in local educational circles of Harry G Dunn, Campbell county school superintendent is to be interrupted by service in the armed forces. He has been inducted into the Army and will leave Sept. 23. Mr. Dunn became county superintendent July 1, 1942 after serving for a number of years in schools in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties. A native of Bergin Ky. he graduated from Cumberland College, Williamsburg Ky. in 1925.

In 1927 he taught school at Mackville, Washington county and followed with three years at Union, Boone county, where a girls basketball team coached by him won the northern Kentucky championship two consecutive years. Five years at Piner School in Kenton county followed, with Dunn coaching a boys basketball team. He then went to A J Jolly High School at California, in Campbell county and in 1937 was named principal at Dale School Highland Heights.
