Hannah Van Schaack
Kentucky Post, Monday, 30 March 1903, page 5
The will of the late Hannah Van Schaack, of Bellevue, was left
for probate in the Campbell County Court in Newport, Monday morning in which she
cuts off her children from her estate because she alleged they took part in the
cruelty of their father to her. The will reads:
"I desire and direct that my son Benjamin and daughter, Lillie Van Schaack, be given no part nor interest in my real estate or property which I may die possessed of. They supported their father in his cruelty toward me and circulated false and scandalous stories about me and have appeared in Hamilton County and aided their false testimony to that of other witnesses against me."
She appoints her son, Joseph Van Schaack, who says he was a good boy to her, executor and leaves all her property, both real estate and personal to him, which includes a house on Van Voast Avenue, Bellevue and required no bond.
