Grove C Van Hook, 40, of 419 W 10th st. Newport, died Wednesday at his home following a lingering illness. He was a World War veteran assigned to the 10th Infantry Ft Thomas, for six years.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nettie Van Hook, and one son, Robert. He was a buglar in the Drum and Bugle Corps of the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion of Newport. Members of the legion will hold services Friday at 8 pm at the John J Radel Co funeral home, Newport. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
