Gordon W Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. J W Shaw, 39 Woodlawn avenue, Ft Thomas, was sworn in Monday at Patterson Field, Dayton O. as an aviation cadet and will report for duty in January. Cadet Shaw graduated from Highlands High School this year. His father is widely known in building association and real estate and insurance circles.
Cadet Shaw was accompanied to Patterson Field by his brother in law, John B Drahmann, Campbell Circuit Court Master Commissioner.

Gordon W Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W Shaw of 29 Grant street, Ft Thomas, has been appointed corporal and assigned as assistant squad leader. He is a graduate of Alexandria (sic) High School and attended Mississippi State College in 1944. He has now completed his freshman year in the Liberal Arts College at UC.

Dr. Gordon W Shaw, graduate of the Southern College of Optometry now is associated with Dr. William J Linstaedt at 123 E Seventh street, Newport. Dr. Shaw graduated from Highlands High School, Ft Thomas, then attended University of Cincinnati and recently received his degree from the Southern College of Optometry at Memphis Tenn.
