Gordon J Dill, lifelong resident of Dayton, has announced as a candidate on the Democratic ticket for police chief. Mr. Dill, a veteran of World War II, served 43 months in the Army, of which were overseas. He saw action in both the African and Italian campaigns.

His qualifications and experience include 40 months as platoon sergeant in the Army and 26 months as patrolman in Dayton. Mr. Dill pointed out that although the police force has been operating efficiently in the past, he believes there is room for improvement.
