Mr. and Mrs. C H Krieger, of N Ft Thomas avenue, have returned from a holiday visit with Mr. Krieger's daughter, Mrs. John C Sharon and Mr. Sharon of Cadiz, Ohio. Mrs. Krieger, who is a gifted artist, entertained the Newport Tuesday Literary Club this week, at which time she exhibited a highly interesting collection of her paintings.
Having studied at the University of Chicago, Mrs. Krieger made three trips through Europe, during which time she finished a number of sketches of the Swiss Alps and northern Italy. Her collection includes landscapes made in Western California, at the Dell, Wis. River Forest, Chicago and still life, portrait work and flower paintings of rhododendron and the wild yucca of Mexico.
First beginning her painting about 20 years ago, Mrs. Krieger did nothing with it for several years and only resumed it within the past two years.
