George Parmalee Webster

New York-Jan 11-Col. George P Webster, a well known lawyer and
prominent member of Tammany Hall, died at his home in this city today. He was
born in Connecticut, but in early life went to Newport Ky. He served several
terms in the Kentucky Legislature and was one of those who voted against
secession. Col. Webster entered the Union army and was Assistant Quartermaster.
He removed to New York City about twenty-five years ago.
