NEWPORT
Deputy Sheriff George Trusdell made his settlement with Sheriff
Betz, as Deputy of the Alexandria District yesterday. He turned over
$15,500 to the Sheriff the amount of taxes collected.
This is an excellent showing for this very efficient officer, as it is $1000 more than for the same period in 1891 and his books balanced to a cent.
