SOLDIERS AT THEIR TRADE
Two soldiers from the Newport Barracks, named George Schwitzer
and Gustav Binder, were found on Wednesday night with a man named Fritz Clarens,
bruised and wounded in an alley on Second street near Ludlow. They were taken to
Hammond street station house by Officers Riggs and Anderson, where they were
soon joined by two men named Peter and Adam Graff, father and son.
The five belligerents were brought before the Police Court this morning and each fined one dollar and costs.
