George Sauer, 76, living at 200 Foote Avenue, Bellevue, was knocked from the C&O Bridge in Newport, early Thursday morning and his right arm was crushed. He was also badly bruised about the body and it is feared that he cannot recover, owing to his advanced age.

Menninger's ambulance of Covington was summoned and he was removed to St Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
