NEWPORT
THE PATRICIDE ACCOMPLISHED-George Rekers, the old man who was
struck in the head on Sunday last with a spade, died last night at 7:15 from the
effects of the injuries.
Coroner Schoolfield will hold an inquest this morning at ten o'clock. If the story as related in the Enquirer Sunday prove to be true, the case will evidently be a justifiable homicide. If not, his son will have to be rearrested on the charge of murder.
