Dr. George Enios Platts

While experimenting with an electrical device, designed for medical purposes, George E Platts, 65, prominent Bellevue physician and druggist, was electrocuted Thursday in t he plant of Charles Buettner & Co, 1926 W Eighth st. Cincinnati. Platt went to the plant to make experiments with the device He was greatly interested in the workings of the machine and had invented a number of electrical surgical devices.

He had been in the plant several hours and experimenting when suddenly was heard to fall to the floor. Employees of the plant rushed and found Platts lying unconscious on the floor. Dr. E F Moore was called but the man was beyond medical aid. He died within a few moments. Platts was well known in all sections of Campbell co. For years he conducted a drug store in Bellevue.

He was a member of Henry Barnes Lodge of Masons and was active in the affairs of the fraternity. A widow and one daughter survive him. The funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Henry Barnes Lodge No 607 F and A M, will meet at 1:45 Saturday afternoon and proceed to the home of the late George E Platts for the purpose of conducting the funeral service of the deceased brother.

The will of George E Platts, Bellevue druggist and physician, who met death by electrocution a few weeks ago, was probated Friday in Campbell County Court. The will provides the entire estate shall go to the widow, Katherine A Platts.
