George Painter was born about 1795 in
Pennsylvania and came to Campbell County early where he married Rachel Tarvin 31
Mar 1820. Rachel was born 5 Aug 1800 in Mason County, Kentucky to Joseph C
and Martha (Cowgill) Tarvin. George died about 1839-1840 leaving Rachel a widow
with five children. George was buried in the
Tarvin &
Moore Family Cemetery in the California-Carthage area.

no children; m-2-Mary Ann Tinker 20 Mar 1859; Mary Ann b-1844 the daughter of Frederick and
Mary Ann Tinker. She died 29 Jan 1904.

Rachel then married William Boots and had a
daughter Lalla S Boots who was born 25 Nov 1846 and died in 1847. Rachel was
listed as a midwife on the 1880 census. Rachel died 16
Oct 1883.
