NEWPORT
GEORGE NEW, an old pioneer citizen, died yesterday at his home on
Mayo street from dropsy. The deceased was sixty-five years of age and leaves a
widow and six children.
He was a member of the German Pioneer Society and they will attend his funeral in a body next Sunday.
