Petty Officer 2-C George E McFerren Jr. 24 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E McFerren Sr. 1118 Central avenue, Newport, suffered a shrapnel wound of the arm and hand while aboard a Navy LST, which was landing Marines for the invasion of Inchon Korea.
