George Marz
Kentucky Post, Friday, 2 January 1903, page 5
George Marz, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. C Marz of Thirteenth and
Putnam Streets, Newport, was accidentally shot Thursday afternoon by an unknown
boy. With his two brothers, he was passing Twelfth and German Streets when they
heard the crack of a Flobert rifle and the ball lodged in Marz's cheek.
Dr. M Higgin found the bullet had entered the left cheek about an inch below the eye, but was unable to get it out, it having imbedded itself behind a bone. The wound is not dangerous.
