DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER

 

Mr. George Howat, one of Campbell County's oldest settlers who started a blacksmith shop at John's Hill in 1833, died Sunday at his home, Seventh and Robert streets. He was 73 years of age and remained a bachelor up to the time of his death.  He leaves two brothers, John and Robert, and one sister, Mrs. David Hayes, of Fourth and Saratoga streets.
